Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT)
Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT), is also known as allergy drops. Pinehurst Surgical Clinic Ear, Nose, Throat, Head & Neck physicians and our allergy trained nurse, Rita Maness, LPN, have been using SLIT to help patients find relief from their allergy symptoms since 2009. Allergy drops are a newer form of immunotherapy but have been found to be effective and typically result in greater compliance from the patient. Sublingual allergy treatment offers the patient greater convenience of completing their therapy at home after the initial test dose.
