Subcutaneous Immunotherapy (SCIT), is also known as allergy shots. Pinehurst Surgical Clinic Ear, Nose, Throat, Head & Neck physicians and our allergy trained nurse, Rita Maness, LPN, have been using SCIT to help patients find relief from their allergy symptoms for over 23 years. Allergy shots have been used for over 100 years to help the patient buildup immunity towards the antigens causing their allergic responses. Most insurance companies cover the cost of allergy injections.
