On Saturday, April 24th, 2021, Dr. Robert Chamberlain, a Urology Physician at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, was dining at Scott’s Table in Southern Pines when suddenly a patron collapsed due to experiencing a massive heart attack. Dr. Chamberlain quickly responded and began performing CPR. After seven minutes of cardiac resuscitation, the paramedics arrived at the restaurant and were able to stabilize the gentleman, transporting him to Moore Regional Hospital.
“I was honored to be able to use my training to help another person. I was awed by the EMS response as they are the true heroes,” Dr. Chamberlain mentioned.
