Pinehurst Surgical Clinic is proud to offer a full-service laboratory operated under the direction and supervision of a Medical Laboratory Director. All test results are sent to the ordering physician and forwarded to FirstHealth for preoperative purposes.
Our in-house laboratory testing capabilities include:

- Blood chemistry testing
All lab testing is performed by certified technicians and the quality of testing is regulated by the certified CLIA Program, a division of the NC Department of Health and Human Services.

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital is located across the street from Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, and all preop care — including pre-registration, nursing assessments and pre-anesthesia evaluations — is provided directly by FirstHealth’s dedicated staff within our own facility.

The following information will guide you as you prepare to come in to our facility for our Pinehurst, NC preoperative care:
- Please bring all medications you currently take. Include all prescription medicines and over-the-counter medicines, as well as herbal and homeopathic preparations. Remember to include exact name, strength, how many you take each time and when you take them.
- To help us provide optimal care, we will ask about current medical problems, past surgeries, past problems and any serious medical conditions in your family.
- You may eat or drink normally the day of your preop appointment unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
- We will take you through the pre-admissions process as quickly and safely as possible, but please understand that it could take as long as an hour, or possibly longer.
