History
Pinehurst Surgical evolved from a simple teamwork concept in the need to care for patients. This concept formed our beginning and shapes every aspect of our existence today.
Drs. Clement R. Monroe, Michael T. Pishko, and William F. Hollister are the three physicians credited with opening the clinic in 1946 within the walls of Moore Regional Hospital. Charles A Speas Phillips, MD, Duwayne D. Gadd, MD, and William W. Allen, MD were the first additions to the group between 1947 and 1956. Through the continued foresight of these physicians and the needs of patients requiring more specialty care, Pinehurst Surgical founded its first separate physical distinction in 1957. Since our first distinct location in 1957, we have moved two additional times. The first relocation was in 1978 to 35 Memorial Drive and the most recent in 2006 to 5 FirstVillage Drive.
Pinehurst Surgical Today
Directed Care - Our approach today still models teamwork as we strive to care for our patients by providing an accurate diagnosis and the best treatment options for each individualized patient. We are committed to the group practice of medicine and to advancing surgical excellence. Our approach brings the best of medical and surgical care together through multiple specialties that communicate and coordinate with the patient's primary care physician.
Patient Centered Care - Our patients are our number one priority and our sole reason for existence. We believe in earning the trust of each and every patient and we will do what is right for people. We believe allowing patients easy and convenient access to a variety of services respects the patient's time and facilitates a more efficient diagnosis.
Up-to-Date Technology - Pinehurst Surgical utilizes an electronic health care record system allowing the practice to be chartless. Every aspect of the patient's medical evaluation, test results, reports and radiology imaging are all unified and integrated into a computerized patient health care record. The use of this system allows for increased efficiency, improved accuracy and communication and improved patient and referring physician satisfaction. We strive to continuously improve all that we do in order to fully meet the needs of our patients, referring physicians and others we serve.
